Managed Network Options (2023 Update)

For prosumers and the SMB market, there are an increasing number of networking solutions, many with gaps in their respective stacks.  Few can provide a SPOG (single pane of glass) view and provide a complete and unified network ecosystem.

While I have remained a relative satisfied Ubiquiti user for my home/lab, I do frequently get the urge to explore/test other solutions that deliver more options and flexibility.

Here are my personally curated lists for your consideration:

Incomplete Stack Solutions

These are missing dedicated router/firewall hardware, so I would recommend deploying these with either a small Fortinet appliance or OPNsense on x86 SFF hardware.

vCenter Server Appliance - Full Database Partition

Issues with your vCSA appliance locking up or crashing due to a full database volume?  Before you go too crazy looking at the database itself, or adding more space to the volume, see this bug. Dell iDRAC 6 Update via SSH & TFTP

Below is syntax of racadm command to update iDRAC FW with TFTP Download the firmimg.d6 file and place it on your TFTP server.
